Alannah is now 15 years old, but in 2021 she stayed here at RMHC Ottawa for 323 nights with her family during her battle with cancer. While she was here, her whole family was able to celebrate Alannah’s 13th birthday, making cupcakes in our kitchen!

Looking back one of her favourite memories was weekly pet therapy visits with Isaac. Their time together offered her quiet moments, gentle hugs, and a wonderful reason to spend a few moments outside her room.

The Neely family continue to visit our House on a regular basis for Alannah’s check-ups. This summer, she had the honour of ringing-the-bell at CHEO, signifying the end of her treatments. She stopped by the House to share in the good news and as luck would have it, Isaac was here at the same time for a momentous reunion.
